Beauty of Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a material that has been used in interior designs for decades. Architects and Interior Designers are using more Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS) as a design element.

Stainless steel is most commonly found in commercial kitchens, sterile medical facilities, and transportation hubs. It has also found its way into retail, hospitality, and residential interior designs.

Stainless is an extremely flexible material in terms of design options. In addition to the customization and fusing of components, stainless surfaces can be highly polished. So we can get either an elegantly reflective finish or brush the steel for a soft satin finish.  Our standard blasted and pickled finish is also a favourite of designers. There are many ways to incorporate stainless steel sections and shapes into you interior design project.

Advantages of Using Stainless Steel

  • DURABLE AND HYGIENIC

Stainless steel has a natural coating that prevents oxidation. Therefore, the material is non-corrosive. Nonetheless, stainless is easy to clean and does not succumb to damage from exposure to water, or chemical cleaning agents. Because it is so easy to clean, and it does not absorb bacteria, experts consider stainless a very hygienic material.

  • SUSTAINABLE

Using stainless steel components in your interiors means that you are being environmentally responsible. This is because steel is a nearly a hundred per cent recyclable material. So much of the stainless you use may be repurposed. We are also able to recycle the waste produced in the manufacturing processes of our shapes and sections.

  • STRONG

Stainless steel is by nature exceptionally high in strength. Furthermore, it is also a highly ductile material. For interiors designers, these two properties mean your spaces can be more open and free of too many structural columns. Stainless steel structural components can also withstand large loads and span long distances without cracking. Nonetheless, they are able to handle tensile stresses better than other framing materials. This is also a good quality for things like handrails and benches that will be subjected to different live loads at varying locations.
